-I should have psoted this last night but I was busy-



At a little after 7:30pm Friday night a house caught fire in town.
I had walked out after hearing the fire alarm to look around and what i saw was a plume of smoke. It was a light grey and maybe the same size as the smoke plume last year when those tire caught fire down at the old mine. I saw a slight glow over the roof-tops and bolted inside to tell my dad. He walked out and said it looked like it was right down by my aunts. So he tried to call but no answer. He sent me down. I kicked on my shoes and ran one block, stopping at the firehall memorial and saw the fire over the roofs. Then i ran to the next block and to my aunt's backyard where a house accross the alleway and 3 lots down was a blaze.
The fire was through the roof, out the windows, you name it. The little extension on the side was completely engulfed and the roof caved. But as soon as i got right in front of the house(there was only one engine in the alleway at the time and they did not have it blocked)the firefighters had the blaze under control. I then walked up to my aunt nad uncle who were watching and talking amoung the group of people and I asked what was going on. They told me they had no idea so I followed my nabour who was down there to where we were right in front. I stood there and watched for a few min before another firetruck came in and pushed us out, before a third came and pushed us down two lots.
I stayed until I was sure the firefighters had the fire completely under control (about a hour and a half) then I made my way home.
Today i went down to see the damage and talk with the nabours. the two nabour houses got caught, one side scorched and the other house's siding melted. They made it out ok, thank goodness.
The damage on the burnt house was horrific. I like fire, but not like that.








jsut thought I'd share this, my first witness of a house fire, and nothing ever goes on in this boreing town. So it was a big deal sorta.
